Tramec, LLC. is currently seeking an experienced EH&S Manager.

The Environmental Health and Safety Manager will implement policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

This position will be remote in nature, since you'll be traveling and supporting numerous divisions throughout the United States, but your office will be located in one of our existing facilities. Ideally Galion, Ohio; Mishawaka, Indiana or Muskegon, Michigan.
Requirements:

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Inspects the facilities to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
  • Collaborates with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
  • Ensures completion of required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Provides technical and administrative support to the safety committee.
  • Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
  • Reviews accident and incident reports.
  • Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
  • Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
  • Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
  • Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities
  • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to conduct training.
  • Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field a plus, but not required
  • Five years minimum of related experience is mandatory
  • EH&S background in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred

Physical Requirements
  • Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
  • Approximately 30% travel by air or auto to other locations
