Our Client is a large, publicly traded manufacturing firm with operations in the Dyersburg, TN area. They are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager. The EH&S Manager is overall responsible for providing health, safety and environmental compliance oversight at the Dyersburg site and assisting with EHS activities at other sites, as needed.

Duties include:

• Establishing the safety standards for the Dyersburg plant consistent with or exceeding OSHA and other local standards.
• Ensure a high level of compliance within all state and local standards, as well as ensuring environmental compliance within all global environmental regulations.
• Develop an immediate short-term and multi-year plan to drive continuous improvement with specific and actionable steps for near term implementation
• Establish and maintain the EHS training process
• Provide analysis of EHS performance metrics to the Business Unit as well as provide improvement recommendations
• Establish and maintain the EHS training process for the designated plant to ensure that training is conducted in an effective manner and in compliance with regulatory agency requirements
• Lead new hire and annual refresher Joint Health & Safety Committee

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Safety or Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical)
• 5+ years' EHS experience in a manufacturing or a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years' experience with federal regulatory compliance, reporting, training, and tracking.
• Must have knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and implementation of programs in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have experience with environmental regulations, standards, and implementation of environmental programs in a manufacturing environment.
