The Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director/ Sr. Director of Cardiovascular Biology to lead pioneering research efforts in understanding and targeting cardiovascular diseases. In this role, you will drive the discovery and development of therapies by elucidating novel mechanisms and advancing our understanding of their mechanism of action.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and design research programs focused on novel mechanisms in cardiovascular biology.
  • Drive innovative strategies to uncover new therapeutic targets and validate mechanisms of action for potential treatments.
  • Oversee in vitro and in vivo experiments to support hypothesis-driven research and preclinical development.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medicinal chemistry, bioinformatics, and clinical development, to ensure alignment with broader company objectives.
  • Present research findings to internal and external stakeholders, contributing to publications, patent filings, and regulatory submissions.
  • Mentor and guide a team of scientists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and scientific rigor.


Qualifications:
  • PhD in cardiovascular biology, pharmacology, or a related field, with a strong focus on cardiovascular systems.
  • 8+ years of postdoctoral experience, preferably in both academic and industry settings.
  • Proven expertise in uncovering and characterizing novel mechanisms of action in cardiovascular diseases.
