Environmental Compliance Technician

Title: Environmental Compliance Technician
Classification: Exempt
Status: Full time
Department: Compliance
Reports to: Senior Engineer
The primary responsibility of the Environmental Compliance Technician involves ensuring that Noble Environmental operates in accordance with all Federal and State regulations that may apply. Your primary responsibility will be to assist each entity in completing compliance assessments, permitting, reporting, and other areas that may impact compliance. The Environmental Compliance Technician will work alongside the engineering and operations department and be responsible for enforcing the highest quality of compliance practices as well as complying with all federal and state regulations to assist our employees and keep company operations running consistently.
The Environmental Compliance Technician will:
· Maintain environmental and regulatory compliance at landfill facilities.
· Perform daily/monthly inspections of the sites.
· Learn and understand state, federal, and local regulations. related to Solid Waste, Air Quality, Clean Water, Mining, and Radiation Protection.
· Conduct research and investigations for projects.
· Assist with the planning and executing of construction projects and remedial actions.
· Maintain calibrations and records of various meters and detectors as necessary
· Prepares reports highlighting the project work and compliance.
· Assist with water quality, dustfall or other sampling as may be required
· Reviews and maintains analytical data and figures to document compliance and for preparation of regulatory compliance reports
· Prepares recommendations for the team.
· Monitor project progress, inspect, repair, and maintain structures as needed.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Skills/Education Requirements:
· Associate's degree in Geology, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Compliance, and/or Health/Safety, or past working experience in the Compliance of on-site QA/QC Engineering field
· Knowledge of USEPA, PADEP, OEPA, and other regulatory authorities
· Completion of OSHA HAZWOPER Training
· Minimum 5 years of environmental experience in the State of Pennsylvania
· Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
· Strong knowledge of Excel, Data, and predictive analytics.
· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
