We are looking for an Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator that will collaborate with Operations and Team
Leaders company-wide to develop and execute strategic and tactical EHS plans to increase risk recognition, reduce
accidents/incidents, and enhance employee health and environmental compliance, protection, and improvements.
As a key team member in SolvChem, Inc., a successful Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator candidate will
provide direction and support necessary to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and
regulations and EHS standards to meet or exceed relevant internal and external environmental, health and safety
standards in a manner consistent with sound business practices. Candidate will also assist in directing the
development, implementation and maintenance of comprehensive environmental, safety and health programs
and promote continuous improvement. Auditing, conducting gap analyses and determining/implementing
corrective actions is an integral function for this position.
Role and Responsibilities:
Partner with site level operations team to execute company EHS programs and processes to ensure
compliance, protection and improvement to all applicable regulatory requirements
Assist environmental operations to ensure regulatory compliance
Provide technical support and regulatory guidance for Consumer Products, DOT, SPCC, SWPPP, HAZCOM,
RCRA
Analyze EHS metrics and trends to provide proposed action plans for continual improvement
Complete routine facility safety inspections and audits to include OSHA, EPA, TCEQ, and NFPA
Compliance; present findings in written report.
Review and update EHS Procedures as required
Ensure site leadership and associates are trained and knowledgeable of their EHS responsibility
Partner with EHS Manager to leverage global safety and environmental best practices
Interface with regulatory agencies on EHS matters
Conduct Incident Analysis and Root Cause Analysis. Ensure injury, illness or near miss cases are effectively
managed to closure
