Title: EHS Specialist
Location: Carrollton, GA
Rate: 80-125K + 10% bonus
5 days onsite
The Senior Environmental Health and Safety Specialist is responsible for environmental, health and safety compliance and training and program management. Provides regulatory expertise to ensure regulatory requirements applicable to the facility are known. Plans, organizes, and implements environmental, health and safety activities at the facility and assists in monitoring all facility activities to ensure that regulatory and company requirements are met.
Required Skills and Experience
* Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline or other program applicable to the health, safety and environmental fields are required.
* Requires minimum of 5 years of experience working in safety within a manufacturing environment
* Knowledge of various safety regulations or standards (OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, NEC, etc.) and implementing EHS systems, providing training to comply with requirements and regulations.
* Implementing both proactive and preventative safety programs and procedures to reduce incidents and accidents
* Experience assisting with environmental and safety incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the development of corrective actions
* Experience in providing leadership and support for implementation and sustainability of the BBS (Behavioral Based Safety) process.
* Experience serving as Emergency Response Coordinator for the facility, assisting with the coordination of emergency services and contractors.
