The Liability Management and Restoration (LM&R) Risk Assessment Practice is seeking a highly skilled Intermediate Environmental Risk Assessor to join our team in an exciting new role. We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical background in the environmental management of contaminated sites, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, well-organized, and adept at managing multiple tasks across various projects.

Key qualifications include experience in human health and/or ecological risk assessment, proficiency in complex spreadsheets, mathematical and statistical analysis, data management, and report writing. The ideal candidate will have the capability to provide guidance and support to junior staff.

This is a full-time position with flexibility to work hybrid from one of our US offices - Los Angeles, Monrovia CA, Houston, Baton Rouge, Denver, Reading PA, or Charleston WV, depending on your location.

Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities
  • Manage and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Stay up to date with local regulations; knowledge of other jurisdictions is a plus.
  • Ensure timely and on-budget completion of projects.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff.
  • Contribute to business development and proposal efforts.
  • Travel for field programs as needed.


Technical And Industry Experience
  • Must have a range of experience with Human Health Risk Assessment and Ecological Risk Assessment (HHERA).
  • Minimum of 5 years of consulting experience in contaminated sites, working for a range of clients.
  • Expertise in agrology, biology, chemistry, earth sciences, environmental engineering, environmental sciences, geology / hydrogeology, or toxicology.
  • Skilled in managing complex environmental issues and developing innovative solutions.
  • Experience in field programs, permitting, and relevant safety training is advantageous.
  • Competent in data analysis, statistics, reporting, and computer applications.
  • Familiarity with regulatory permitting, site investigations, and remediation technologies; HSE certifications are beneficial.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and business development support experience.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in agrology, biology, chemistry, earth sciences, environmental engineering, environmental sciences, geology/hydrogeology, toxicology, or a related science/engineering discipline. A graduate degree is preferred but not required.
  • Professional registration is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology is an asset.

  • This position is in California.
  • Salary Range $73,396-$107,395 USD
  • Benefits: eligible for PTO, 401k, medical, vision, dental, etc.

Additional Information - Colorado

Pay: $71,683-$105,416 USD and commensurate with experience
