First Point Group is looking for a senior EHS Consultant to join our client's team in Houston Metro area.
The project is a large scale construction with 7000 acre.
Successful candidate must have experience in Root Cause Analysis RCA and worked on large scale projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Management: Support and promote the implementation of ES&H program, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Incident Investigation: Lead investigations, assess root causes, and determine corrective actions for ES&H events, compiling comprehensive reports on findings.
- Performance Monitoring: Track site performance metrics, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions to improve overall safety.
- Risk Management: Conduct and lead risk assessments, hazard mitigation, and monitoring to enhance project safety.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Maintain and analyze safety databases, using statistical process control to identify and address safety performance trends.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare reports, maintain records, and provide regulatory interpretations and technical safety guidance.
- Training & Continuous Improvement: Deliver training on safety protocols and develop improvements for processes and work activities to reduce risk exposure.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in ES&H, Management, or a related science/engineering discipline, with 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of experience without a degree.
- Root Cause Analysis: Formal training and certification in Root Cause Analysis is required; Six Sigma or TapRoot certification preferred.
- Field Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Root Cause Analyst in large-scale construction or operations.
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical capabilities, and the ability to work autonomously as an ES&H expert.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of ES&H best practices, compliance audits, accident investigations, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Desired Abilities:
- Proven collaborative skills within large organizations
- Prior experience within continuous improvement or performance enhancement roles
- Proficiency in identifying and implementing improvements for ES&H software systems and databases
