Environmental Project Manager
We are seeking an Environmental Remediation Project Manager to work on federal program cleanup projects. You will oversee environmental remediation efforts, ensuring project quality, timelines, and client satisfaction, while managing tasks for a small team supporting various branches of the service.
Responsibilities:
- Client Point of Contact: Serve as the lead POC for all clients in your group, while your team members interact directly with their assigned clients.
- Task Assignment and Management: Oversee the delegation of tasks to team members, determining the effort needed to support projects based on contract volume. Coordinate with management and Environmental Science Discipline Lead to ensure adequate resources for projects.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure overall quality and timeliness of deliverables, working with management and other Team Leads to update plans and monitor quality.
- Project Coordination and Collaboration: Work closely with your team and other stakeholders to track field sampling, coordinate with clients and laboratories, and ensure the success of the projects.
- Data Management and Analysis: Assist in managing and organizing environmental data and documents, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for team members.
- Contract Hours, Project Profitability, and Invoice Review: Monitor available hours for contract line items to ensure that labor is allocated appropriately. Review labor runs, invoices, and coordinate with Business Development Lead to resolve time and billing issues.
- Training Support: Support training initiatives by participating in live webinars, video production, and ensuring that staff members are well-trained in relevant practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science or related field (Geology, Chemistry, Biology, etc.)
- 4+ years of experience in the environmental industry
- Experience in project management or project coordination in the environmental field
- Experience coordinating contract deliverables, including schedules and quality standards
- Understanding of metrics used to determine error rates and timeliness for quality management and improvement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Desire to be part of a dynamic, in-office team environment
- Experience with Department of Defense environmental cleanup programs is a plus
