Job DescriptionJob Description
Make an impact on the environment by working with technical staff and clients on renewable energy development projects, environmental due diligence projects, and downtown revitalization plans, among other things, as an Environmental Scientist and Planner for C.T. Male Associates.

C.T. Male is looking for an Environmental Scientist and Planner to join the firm, working out of the Latham office. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Execute and assist with the management of environmental due diligence projects, as well as wetland and ecological consulting services including field delineation and permitting, working with field and other technical staff including environmental scientists, planners, geologists, and wetland scientists.
  • Some field supervisory work and mentoring of junior staff will be required.
  • Project permitting and review (SEQRA, ACOE, NYSDEC, etc.)
  • Economic and redevelopment planning services, such as brownfield area-wide plans, downtown and waterfront revitalization plans, site reuse feasibility plans, and other initiatives.
  • Prepare for and deliver public presentations both in-person and virtually that may be related to project work and business development efforts.
  • Engage in project proposal preparation and business development, focusing on municipal and private-sector clients, particularly in the solar/renewables industry.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four (4) year accredited college or university.
  • Five plus (5+) years of related experience and/or training.
  • Experience in project management and coordination, environmental due diligence, environmental chemistry, wetland hydrology, plant identification, wetland regulations, soils science, land development processes, municipal/civic processes, and project funding mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of applicable environmental and land use regulations.
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and geomatic concepts/principles.
  • Ability to acquire certifications, including Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) and American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).

Pay Range: $70,000 - $75,000 per year, paid weekly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
