Currently hiring a Microbiology Lab Technician for a wide variety of commercial products. The majority of the job is microbiology lab testing. An ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology.

Shift: M-F 8am to 5pm (occasional OT)

Responsibilities

• Conduct microbiological testing on commercial products using specific procedures and test standards.
• Work efficiently with all offices and outside experts to develop proper procedures.
• Enumerate and count colonies using the plate count technique.
• Handle and catalog cell cultures, maintaining a frozen library of bacteria and fungi.
• Design and implement experiments following USP standards.
• Perform general lab maintenance.
• Calibrate and identify damaged equipment.
• Follow sample handling procedures, ensuring proper logging in and out of the system.
• Move equipment as needed through the facility and properly package samples for shipment.
• Communicate project status and test results to clients, sales personnel, and management throughout the testing process.
• Provide ongoing support to clients as needed.
• Perform other microbiology-related tasks as required.
