Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Computational Biology to lead our computational biology team in the development and application of advanced algorithms and computational techniques to drive drug discovery efforts. As the Director of Computational Biology, you will play a pivotal role in harnessing the power of AI and computational biology to identify novel drug targets, optimize therapeutic candidates, and advance our pipeline of innovative therapies.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the computational biology team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Algorithm Development: Lead the development and implementation of state-of-the-art computational algorithms and models for drug target identification, drug design, and optimization. Data Analysis: Oversee the analysis and interpretation of complex biological data sets, including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and other high-throughput data modalities, to extract actionable insights. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including bioinformatics, medicinal chemistry, biology, and machine learning, to integrate computational biology approaches into drug discovery projects. Pipeline Development: Drive the design and execution of computational biology strategies to advance our pipeline of therapeutic candidates from target identification through preclinical development. Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies in computational biology and AI, evaluating their potential impact on drug discovery and recommending adoption where appropriate. External Engagement: Represent the company externally through participation in scientific conferences, collaborations with academic and industry partners, and publication of research findings in peer-reviewed journals.
