What You Will Do
Spearmint Energy is seeking entry-level analysts and associates across various sectors of our business in Miami and Minneapolis offices. This person must have an interest in the environment and knowledge of the climate change industry. These positions will be key to executing the company's overall strategy and advancing projects and/or portfolios of projects and contributing to our development, sustainability, engineering, and/or policy-related divisions!

Core Responsibilities:
Development:
•Ability to manage project development independently or with limited oversight, including managing client interactions and delivering projects on time and within budget.
•Identify business opportunities, form relationships with key utilities and other potential counterparties, and work with the finance team to assess the viability of project opportunities.
•Develop and execute community engagement activities consistent with the company's brand objectives, work with internal and external engineering and construction teams to prepare cost estimates, identify constraints, and ensure safety requirements are met, and stay current with professional and industry best practices.

Sustainability:
•Preferred engineering background.
•Strong understanding of emissions calculations.
•Good grasp of quantitative topics.
•Comfortable dealing with large data sets and complex topics in addition to being able to write well.

Regulatory/Policy:
•Monitor and track issues in relevant state legislatures, state utility commissions and RTO/ISOs.
•Monitor/attend stakeholder meetings in RTO/ISO as needed.
•Draft and update reports for ongoing informational support internally.
•Attend and monitor association meetings, such as APA, CGA, ACP, etc. as needed.

Who You Are
•Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business/Management, Finance, Engineering, Sustainability, Policy, Natural Resources, or other relevant field, and at least 1 year of work or internship experience in a full-time professional office environment
•Ability to manage multiple tasks at once, collaboration skills, eager to learn and good time management
•Advanced skills in MS Office, Excel and Outlook, and experience using ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and/or Google Earth preferred for Dev Associate role

Must have work authorization to work in the United States
