Job Description: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Special Education (SPED) Teacher to join our team near Harwood Heights, Illinois. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting students with special needs, experience in developing individualized education programs (IEPs), and the ability to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment. This position requires collaboration with fellow educators, parents, and support staff to ensure that all students receive the support they need to thrive academically and personally.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Provide tailored instruction and support to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to provide comprehensive support to students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress regularly, adjusting instruction as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records for each student.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid Illinoisteaching license/credentials in Special Education.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities in a classroom setting.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and support staff.
