Who are we looking for?
Our Midcon Environmental business is looking for a Natural Resources Project Manager to join their Natural Resources team based out of Houston, TX or Baton Rouge, LA. In this role, you will manage projects for assist in the collection of biological data and prepare environmental reports and permit applications for federal, state, and local government agencies. In addition, you will help with conducting ecological field data collection and biological monitoring at project sites.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
* Conduct field assessments including wetland delineations and habitat assessments for rare, threatened or endangered flora and fauna
* Collect chemical and biological data including sampling of surface water, sediment, macroinvertebrates, soil, groundwater, etc. for purposes of site assessment and/or to support risk assessment projects
* Write and produce technical reports based on field data collection
* Liaise with federal, state, and municipal regulatory agencies
* Support existing GHD clients with the implementation of efficient and innovative solutions to address their project needs
* Coordinate technical projects: maintaining client happiness while ensuring projects are delivered safely and within scope, schedule, and budget
* Establish and develop strategic long-term relationships with current clients, new clients and prospective teaming partners
What you will bring to the team:
* Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Biology, Ecology or related field
* Academic coursework that includes minimum of fifteen (15) semester hours in biological sciences and fifteen (15) semester hours in physical sciences such as soils, hydrology, geology, or similar courses
* A minimum of 5 years of professional environmental experience (i.e., stream, wetland, and environmental surveys, sampling, permitting, etc.)
* Certification as a Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) or Wetland Professional in Training (WPIT) through the Society of Wetland Scientists preferred
* Familiarity with local, state and federal environmental regulations and permitting requirements
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently
* Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
* Able and willing to travel to job sites as needed for field activities
