Our engineering client is seeking a skilled Environmental Scientist to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental/geologic consulting. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical writing skills, with a proven ability to prepare technical reports and proposals effectively.
Responsibilities
Conduct Phase 1 and Phase 2 environmental site assessments in accordance with ASTM standards and regulatory requirements.
Prepare technical reports and proposals for a diverse range of projects, including Phase 1 and Phase 2 Act 2, RCRA, Brownfield, and Geotechnical/Soils investigations.
Collaborate with project teams to develop innovative solutions to environmental challenges.
Conduct fieldwork, including soil and groundwater sampling, monitoring well installations, and remediation oversight.
Communicate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Stay informed of regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure compliance and optimize project outcomes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental and/or geologic consulting.
Strong technical report and proposal writing skills.
Demonstrated record of diverse project experience in Pennsylvania (experience in New Jersey is a plus).
Proficiency in Phase 1 and Phase 2 Remediation report preparation and proposal preparation for a wide range of projects.
Knowledge of PADEP environmental regulatory programs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
