Job Description
AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Project Manager with a Professional Engineering License to join our Long Beach, CA Remediation team. We are seeking candidates who will be able to immediately contribute to the successful delivery of existing projects and promote growth in existing and new markets. You will work with a diverse team of technical leaders across a broad range of practice areas delivering remediation consulting, design, and implementation services to our key clients. AECOM is seeking a candidate who has a technical background in the environmental investigation/remediation consulting industry, who is also a seasoned Environmental Project Manager and who would like to grow their career into assisting our California Operations with business development activities.
Responsibilities for this position may include the following:
Manages portfolio of clients with multiple projects.
Responsible for delivering revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business caused by flawless execution of projects.
Consistently delivers profit margins planned.
Consistently completes project without financial write-downs or multiplier erosion.
Typically manages projects involving RTF (Risk Triggering Factors).
Has decision-making authority and directs other Project Managers in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.
Has a group of employees/staff that are direct reports.
Directs staff to operate and minimize exposure to claims.
Supervises and directs Project Managers with multiple projects or program of projects.
Performs business development to help bring in new clientele or grow existing clientele.
Has a sales goal that is customized to fit candidate's skill set. Help grow and lead business development activities.
Project management and lead teams for field activities consisting of air, soil vapor, soil, groundwater and sediment sample collection, geologic logging (unconsolidated sediments and bedrock), and interpretation.
Utilize basic scientific principles, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop remedial approaches for soil and groundwater impact, including feasibility studies, removal action work plans, and remediation design plans.
Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
Preparation of written reports, work plans, and technical memorandums and analysis of data and development of supported conclusions.
Preparation and implementation of work plans, cost estimates, data compilation/analysis, and report preparation.
Preparation of proposals and costs estimates for new opportunities.
Execute fieldwork by directing and overseeing individual or multiple contractors (laboratory, drillers, surveyors, excavation contractors).
Liaison with clients/client representatives, site facilities, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.
Health and safety planning and hazard recognition.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable meeting with clients, regulatory case managers, colleagues, and sub-contractors alike.
