At Royalty Medical Solutions, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Clinical Lab Scientist with expertise in Molecular Biology to work with our client a large reference lab. This position requires working in a fast-paced clinical laboratory setting to perform and interpret a variety of molecular diagnostic tests. The Clinical Lab Scientist - Molecular Biologist plays a crucial role in assisting with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases through the analysis of genetic material.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Perform complex molecular diagnostic tests and procedures, such as DNA extraction, amplification, and sequencing.

- Analyze and interpret molecular test results, ensuring accuracy and quality.

- Maintain and troubleshoot molecular laboratory instruments and equipment.

- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of biological samples.

- Follow laboratory policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and quality control requirements.

- Collaborate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to communicate test results and provide guidance on appropriate treatment plans.

- Stay updated with advancements in molecular biology and participate in continuing education to enhance knowledge and skills.

- Assist in the training and supervision of laboratory assistants and other personnel.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.

Valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist license from a recognized certifying agency.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory with a focus on molecular diagnostics.

Proficient in molecular biology techniques, including PCR, RT-PCR, and DNA sequencing.

Strong understanding of laboratory regulations and quality assurance practices.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Strong organizational and time management abilities.
