Natural Resources Project Manager

S&ME is seeking a dynamic and motivated Project Manager to join our Natural Resources & Environmental team in Charlotte, North Carolina. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Project Management:
* Lead and manage natural resources projects of varying scales, overseeing every phase, including budget, scheduling, report and proposal preparation and client management.
* Coordinate with regulatory agencies and evaluate jurisdictional waters.
* Oversee permitting processes and conduct protected species surveys.
Operational Excellence:
* Ensure safety, quality, and risk management objectives are met.
* Staff projects effectively with trained and certified personnel.
* Drive project profitability and resource utilization.
Community Leadership & Client Interaction:
* Represent S&ME in the community and professional organizations enhancing S&ME's visibility and influence.
* Foster positive relationships with clients, understanding their needs and expectations.
* Provide regular project updates and ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and project delivery.
About You:
* You have a Bachelor's degree in Biological or Environmental Sciences from an accredited college or university
* You have 5-7+ years experience with wetland delineations, stream determinations, Stream Quantification Tool (SQT), environmental permitting, mitigation, protected species surveys, and ecological surveys, and previous experience in the southeast U.S.
* You can demonstrate successful team leadership and management at a project level with a good understanding of safety policies/procedures, quality, business metrics, human resources policies/procedures, and risk management concepts
* You have GIS experience and/or knowledge
