Join us as a Microbiologist, where you'll put your love of science to work in the Scientific Insourcing Services department. You'll receive all the training you need to successfully take on your new role and grow an exciting laboratory sciences career at Pace®.

This position will actively support product development for food safety through quantifying pathogens. The analyst will prepare and evaluate samples using aseptic technique. Work is performed as part of a team in a collaborative environment. Position may require occasional weekend shifts.

What you'll do

• Conduct Analysis of products using traditional microbiological techniques such as dilution, pour plating, and filtration
• Perform a wide range of general molecular/microbiology related test methods such as sterility testing, plate counting, and pathogen identification
• Prepare sterile lab media used to conduct testing
• Maintain bacterial cultures for inclusive and exclusive testing
• General laboratory upkeep and supplies maintenance
• Perform Spike Calculations

What you'll bring

• B.S. in Microbiology, biochemistry, biology, or related science
• 2-3 years of Experience with microbiology lab techniques such as pipetting, preparing media, pouring agar, streak plating, etc.
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to handle multiple projects concurrently, self-motivated, and results driven
• Able to communicate effectively
