Our RNA team is an innovation-focused organization striving to identify, develop and apply the most groundbreaking therapeutics to deliver maximum benefit to our patients.

Our RNA team in Indianapolis is seeking to grow our in vitro team to advance our ability to delivery nucleotide-based therapeutics. Our team works cross-functionally with multiple therapeutic modalities and the incumbent of this position will have the opportunity to impact efforts in RNA therapeutics spanning a range of therapeutic areas and targets. This position will be based in Indianapolis, IN and located at Lilly Corporate Center.

Top candidates for this position will be able to demonstrate ability to:
  • Lead discovery of potent, durable, and safe small RNA therapeutics molecules
  • Influence and design experimental workflows that enable rapid discovery of highly potent and safe RNA sequences
  • Serve as a lead advisor for bioinformatics and computational colleagues to improve algorithms for sequence discovery
  • Mentor and coach colleagues on experimental and workflow designs


Basic Qualifications:
  • PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related field
  • 6+ years of working in Pharma or biotech with 3+ years of smallRNA sequence discovery related work


Additional Skills/ Preferences:
  • Extensive lab experience in RNA biology area ( e.g. RNAseq, qPCR, RNA isolation, library prep)
  • Demonstrated excellence in managing cross-functional relationships
  • Extensive experience in and knowledge of RNA biology and RNA therapeutics
  • 2+ years of experience in RNA therapeutics specific bioinformatics
