Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Molecular Biologist to join our dynamic research team. This role is ideal for scientists passionate about advancing their careers in neuroscience research and contributing to groundbreaking studies. The successful candidate will engage in basic and translational research to better understand the metabolic dysfunction underlying Alzheimer's disease and traumatic brain injury.

Job Duties:

• Plan, direct, and conduct research experiments to explore metabolic dysfunction in Alzheimer's disease and traumatic brain injury, aiming to uncover therapeutic targets.
• Evaluate and analyze complex data sets, utilizing advanced statistical and computational methods.
• Apply stable isotope tracing methods, immunohistochemistry, antibody-based analyses, confocal microscopy, and basic molecular biology studies to support specific neuroscience projects.
• Document experimental results and report findings to principal investigators.
• Summarize research outcomes and contribute to publishing results in high-impact research journals.
• Oversee laboratory operations, ensuring efficient workflow and resource management.
• Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the activities of trainees and less experienced research staff.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned, contributing to the lab's research goals and objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

• MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
• No prior experience required, though a strong interest in neuroscience research is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with rodent surgical techniques and in vivo physiology.
• Proficiency in programming and/or data science, with experience handling large data sets.
• Research experience and a publication record in neuroscience, demonstrating the ability to conduct and publish high-quality research.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively present research findings.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and multidisciplinary research environment.
