Kelly Science has 2 urgent needs for QC Microbiologists in the Raleigh-Durham NC area. This is a 4 month contract with the potential to convert or extend.

Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Hourly Pay Rate: $38-$45

Job Description

Schedule and execute microbiological assays, including growth promotion of media, finished product sterility testing, and endotoxin testing of products and raw materials.

Conduct environmental monitoring of room air and surfaces in classified areas using laser particle counters and biological air samplers.

Perform environmental monitoring of compressed gases for viable and nonviable particles, oil, and moisture.

Support training of departmental personnel in appropriate techniques and related topics.

Deliver assigned work with attention to detail and accuracy.

Prepare and maintain microbial cultures and stock solutions.

Participate in validation and qualification studies for microbiological methods, classified areas, and clean utilities.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in GMP quality control or manufacturing with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related life science. Alternatively, a minimum of 3 years of experience with a Master of Science degree in the same fields.

Preferred backgrounds include aseptic processing, environmental monitoring, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and microbiology.

Experience with scheduling, testing, and data review of QC environmental monitoring and microbiology assays for raw materials, in-process, release, and stability samples.

Proven experience in assessing drug product sterility, aseptic manufacturing processes, and facilities for microbial risk.

Familiarity with QMS systems, including OOT/OOS/Invalid Investigations, and experience working cross-functionally to support CAPA and proactive initiatives.
