Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Chemist for employment in Sacramento, CA. This person will be working with and in support of project managers and other project members, including geologists, engineers, and technical staff.
The responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to:
Perform data review and validation for multi-media data
Utilize scientific principles, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope
Collect and enter data, and apply technical principles and theories
Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance
Work with minimal supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member
Ensure project-specific data requirements are met
Support field efforts by preparing sampling plans and field documentation
Manage data flow from the laboratory to final reporting
Research environmental laboratory practices and methodologies
Assist with proposals, laboratory procurement, and oversee laboratory services and invoice approvals
Assist with technical report preparation
Coordinate with end user to define data quality requirements and to help assure that data are usable and meet end-use objectives
Report and coordinate the proper hard copy and electronic data deliverables, including EQuIS EDDs
