Job Description
HI-Bio, Inc., a Biogen company, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist with a background in discovery biology to drive the discovery and validation of novel therapeutic targets in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic to deep dive into the biology of prospective targets and will have the opportunity to make highly visible contributions to multiple target discovery programs.
What You'll Do
Set up new workflows and directly contribute to drive novel target discovery and validation for immune mediated diseases.
Set up and perform cell-based assays to establish proof-of-concept of prospective targets and their appropriateness for use in novel therapeutic concepts to address mast cell mediated conditions. Where appropriate, contribute to in vivo studies for additional validation.
Establish outsourcing strategy for specialized experimental methods as needed to complement in-house work.
Contribute to HI-Bio discovery programs by developing novel and innovative therapeutic strategies to address autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
Who You Are
You are passionate about novel target discovery and validation for targeted therapies. You have the ability to identify and execute on the critical experiments for a quick determination of how a prospective target should be prioritized.
This position is based in South San Francisco, California and required frequent onsite presence. Candidates must be within commutable distance or able to self-relocate to be considered.
