Responsibilities:
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Responsible for providing technical, regulatory, and programmatic direction on Water Resource Management issues for Constellation Power. Assure the highest level of compliance is maintained with all applicable environmental rules and regulations. Responsible for permitting and completion of specific environmental regulatory filings in, but not limited to, water resource and water quality management.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide facility guidance, develop, and implement environmental strategies, and prepare and issue regulatory interpretations related to Water Resource subject matter expertise.
Provide technical and regulatory support and expertise for all Water Resource related compliance issues, projects, and programs.
Review and update the Constellation Power "Management Model" related to Water Resource Management subject matter expertise.
Develop and submit Water Management related permit applications/renewals/modifications in the areas of NPDES, Wetlands Delineation, E&S Plans, Grading, Water Use, Stormwater Construction Management and Water Encroachment. Negotiate permit conditions with Local, State and Federal regulators.
Perform water related regulation and permitting applicability reviews.
Monitor, track, evaluate, and interpret new and existing environmental regulations and legislation. Prepare and issue regulatory interpretations and guidance documents, as necessary.
Support Environmental Awareness Training.
Conduct site specific Water Program self-assessments.
Assist with review and/or preparation of site quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports, as necessary.
Actively participate in state and federal industry coalition groups.
Provide support to due diligence activities as needed.
Provide regulatory assistance to the Regional Environmental Manager, Site Environmental Specialist, and/or Technical Staff.
30% Travel (as necessary).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
BS in engineering, natural or physical sciences, chemistry, or environmental science with 6+ years professional experience OR
Associates Degree with 8+ years experience and 3+ years exempt-level experience OR
H.S. diploma with 10+ years experience and 5+ years exempt-level experience
In-depth knowledge of environmental regulatory requirements for power plants
Ability to manage multiple issues/priorities with conflicting priorities.
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal.
Strong computer skills, including knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products.
Qualifications:

Project Management experience
Advanced Degree (MS, M. Engr.) in natural or physical sciences, or engineering
Experience with multi-state Water Resources Management regulations
Knowledge of power plant operations
