Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting for a Senior Technical Project Manager 4, Construction & Engineering. This position will support the Los Alamos National Laboratory as a Navarro employee in a staff augmentation position.
Location: Richland Duty Station, Richland, WA. Per diem paid for occasional trips to Los Alamos (on boarding and meetings on an as-needed basis)
*3-5-year assignment.
*4/10 Work Schedule.
Description:
The technical project manager manages and ensures the timely completion of discrete technical or operational projects; establishes technical requirements for the project; defines project deliverables, schedules, and communicates risks; and oversees a project from the planning, tracking, and execution of the project from initiation to completion. Projects are a set of related activities needed to produce specific products or services to meet customers requirements. The TPM 4 will define what will be accomplished to meet specific programmatic needs and produce the work products defined by the work assignments. They will function in an oversight role that will include contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of program policies, procedures and standards; determining program enhancements; providing technical advice to staff, other departments, and performs related work as required. DOE experience supporting D&D, environmental restoration and 413.3B construction projects. Experience in developing and nurturing effective high-level internal and/or external customer relationships and performing management assessments. Ability to successfully plan, organize, lead, and monitor a wide variety of team efforts to completion. Ability to prepare and deliver performance status communications to all levels of management, both internal and external.
Requirements
Position typically requires a minimum of a bachelors degree and at least twelve years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
DOE experience MUST be documented on resume as well as documented experience in a DOE Cat II Nuclear Facility , and experience performing assessments.
Possess the knowledge of methods, processes, and programs used to manage project documents.
Effectively communicate and use interpersonal skills both in and out of the field
Ability to maintain documentation integrity that meets and/or exceeds LANL standards.
Ability to follow work packages, procedures, and specifications.
Proactively work with general contractors to ensure the successful completion of projects through proper documentation submission, tracking, and filing.
Effectively collaborate with team members on multiple projects daily.
Ability to effectively manage changes to scope, schedule, procedure, submittals, drawings, throughout project, while keeping changes in a clean, organized for quick and easy access.
