Long-term temporary opportunity for Environmental Health & Safety Specialist. This is an onsite Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:00pm position.
Must Have:
NY Asbestos Investigator/Inspector Licenses
OSHA 10 Certification
3+ years of experience
Some Responsibilities Include:
Provide Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety Services
Develop safety education and safety training programs to control and reduce hazards
Conduct safety meetings and perform inspections
Manage job safety analysis and safety inspection programs
Coordinate safety programs to ensure worker safety and regulatory compliance
Assure safety practices and suggest safety changes
Conducting internal safety audits and safety program evaluations to measure effectiveness of safety programs
Approve job safety analysis (JSA)
Interface with FDNY, DEP, and DEC
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and laws
Conduct safety audits to determine employee compliance with safety policies and procedures
Implement safety communication/reporting processes and safety strategies
Maintain safety compliance in assigned areas, conduct safety assessments/audits, and develop safety systems and processes
Maintain records and reporting of environmental monitoring, trainings, inspections, injuries, complaints, and emergencies
Must Have:
