Job DescriptionJob Description
Several positions are available for both an introductory and licensed professionals.
The introductory position will require some knowledge of environmental sampling methods as well as fluent communications skills with clients, contractors, and fellow employees. This position requires daily travel for field services (valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required) along with submission of daily samples and paperwork. Successful candidate must be dependable with the ability to work varying shifts with rapid response. The position requires proficient knowledge in digital communication and computer use. AET will train you and assist you in obtaining appropriate licensing in the environmental consulting field such as asbestos air monitoring, lead inspections, etc. Some college or degree is beneficial but not required.
The licensed professional asbestos/lead monitor inspector will be responsible for 1) Performance of large project oversight for site remediation projects involving asbestos, lead and hazardous materials; 2) Conduct industrial hygiene occupational monitoring, stationary air sampling and work area acceptance inspections 3) Provide detailed written project records for documentation of work progress, engineering controls and scope of work; 4)Daily communications with project management; 7) Performance of lead based paint inspections and risk assessments; 8)Performance of asbestos pre renovations and demolition inspections.
This position requires that the candidate must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, tour project sites, climb ladders/scaffolding in a variety of industries (commercial, industrial, transportation etc) The candidate must have the ability to don personal protective equipment such as disposable coveralls, fall restraint harnesses, respiratory protection and similar. Successful candidate must be able to achieve physician approval for respirator use via company provided exam in accordance with OSHA standard.
Salary is negotiable and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Pay is biweekly with a 401K program and FSA.
