Volt is Immediately hiring for Environmental Health and Safety Specialist in Colorado Springs
This role involves inspecting the facility for safety, health, and environmental risks, creating and enforcing inspection procedures, and providing training on emergency and workplace safety procedures. The EHS Specialist will play a critical role in maintaining compliance with safety regulations, documenting inspection findings, and managing records related to hazardous waste and pollutants. This position requires a strong knowledge of environmental regulations, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and organize safety initiatives within a metal manufacturing context.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 1st Shift 7 AM to 3:30PM
Pay: $20.00 per hour

As an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist you will:
- Inspect the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
- Develop and implement inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
- Develop health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
- Prepare and schedule training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
- Monitor compliance with safety procedures.
- Draft inspection reports to document inspection findings.
- Ensure that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
- Maintain records of discharge of our employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field.
- Five years of related experience preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
