Job DescriptionJob Description
OPS Consulting is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Technician Level 2 to work in College Park, MD.

Required Experience:

The Environmental Health & Safety Officer manages the occupational safety and health programs in accordance with the occupational safety and health administration regulations, Code of Federal Regulations, and all other applicable regulations. Additional responsibilities will include:
  • Drafts environmental standard operating procedures in accordance with client guidelines.
  • Addresses environmental safety and health concerns.
  • Conducts workplace inspections.
  • Coordinates with project leaders to develop and implement remediation plans for health and safety concerns.

Qualifications:
  • An undergraduate degree in Natural Science (e.g., Environmental Science, Natural Resources Management, Biology, Chemistry, Geology) or a related field (e.g., Public Health, Environmental Health)
  • Seven (7) years of experience providing environmental protection, safety and health services for programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Hazardous Material Manager Certification is required.

Security Clearance:
  • A current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required.
