Reports to: Associate Scientist, Gene Therapy

Duration: 10 weeks

Job Summary

The individual in this role will work collaboratively with their manager and team on research projects and laboratory activities. The position aims to provide hands-on experience in research while generating impactful data to support research goals at SonoThera. We are not sponsoring work visa for this position.

What You Will Accomplish
  • Learn various techniques including but not limited to, western blot, cell culture, RT-qPCR, and ELISA
  • Develop western blot for the detection and quantification of target proteins
  • Analyze samples from various in vitro studies
  • Maintain and culture various cell lines under aseptic conditions
  • Assist in gene expression profiling of various cell lines to ensure quality and reproducibility for downstream assays

Qualifications, Technical Requirements and Skills:
  • Actively pursuing a science related degree
  • Basic laboratory skills and familiar with common lab equipment and techniques
  • Ability to follow detailed protocols and instructions
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of experiments, results and conclusions in electronic laboratory notebook and database
  • Good organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Preferred skills: Experience in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, Western blotting, and cell culture
