In this role, the Environmental Specialist will ensure all environmental-related project and operational details are properly managed to ensure that OTP can continue serve our customers and meet our mission.

Some examples of those activities will include:
* Collaborate with project teams to obtain permits and approvals from regulatory agencies.
* Adhere to sustainability reporting protocols and compile greenhouse gas scope metrics.
* Support environmental review and field surveys for emerging projects.
* Ensure compliance with permit requirements and regulations via data and document review, and site inspections.

Qualifications:
We're seeking candidates with a wide range of skills who are driven to find win-win solutions and getting projects completed at an exceptional standard.

* An independent thinker who is excited and driven to learn about our company including transmission and distribution systems and the various regulatory bodies we work with. A working knowledge of air quality metrics, federal and state environmental regulations, and permitting is preferred.
* To hit the ground running, foundational knowledge via a 4-year degree in engineering, natural sciences is preferred. Equivalent job-related experience will be considered valuable as well.
