Job Title: Biologist

Job Description:
The Research group is seeking a highly motivated Scientist to develop, optimize, execute bioanalytical assays to support Lilly's gene therapy programs. In this role, you will work closely with a team of scientists to advance AAV based gene therapies.
A successful candidate will be able to use the current available technologies and explore Client techniques/technologies as appropriate. The successful candidate will also collaborate with other departments in Lilly Research and Development organizations to develop bioanalytical methods supporting non-clinical and/or clinical programs.
As a member of the Translational team, you must be able to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment, manage work priorities, and have the desire to succeed at the highest level.
• Develop, optimize, and execute bioanalytical assays to characterize AAV vectors designed for various therapeutic programs and to evaluate PK/PD profiles of such vector in appropriate model systems.
• Perform sample analysis per established method or SOP
• Contribute to the tech transfer of developed assays to internal or external collaborators
• Support internal Translational lab operation and maintenance
• Perform data analysis and author/ review method SOP, assay development summary and report
Quals--
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
PhD or equivalent with 1 to 3 years, or MS with 3 to 5 years of experience on assay development, AAV experience strongly preferred.
Scientific training and hands-on experience with various cell-based and molecular assays, including but not limited to 2D and /3D cell culture, cell-based potency assay, ELISA, western, qPCR, RT-qPCR, and DNA/RNA/protein extraction from cells and animal (including NHP) tissues.
Experience with organoid experience preferred.
Strong organizational skills and detailed oriented
Experience using Benchling for lab activity documentation preferred.
Good written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
