Job Mission

As part of the CRE EHS team, assists in the development, implementation, and management of circularity and sustainability programs moving the site towards ASML's corporate ESG goals, fully addressing their implications on the facility. Researches industry "Best-Practices" to ensure world class leadership in ESG and coordinates with global teams to achieve compliance with Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) guidelines. As part of the Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality (QEHS) team within the Corporate Real Estate department, also provides support to the occupational health and safety program by way of investigating incidents, identifying solutions, and engaging resources to maintain a safe work environment.

Job Description

Principal duties
Act as the local sustainability and circularity subject matter expert and point of contact.
Develop and update local ESG processes and systems.
Collect and verify site-wide sustainability and circularity data and supporting documentation for external and internal reporting needs to maintain compliance with CSRD and other local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and provide support and track circularity- and sustainability-related projects and initiatives.
Prepare reports on energy savings and circularity projects for local and global leadership.
Identify opportunities for the company to improve its circularity and sustainability performance by developing and implementing plans to reduce the company's environmental footprint, including working with local teams to ensure appropriate budget is secured.
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure circularity and sustainability efforts are embedded in vendor relationships.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure that sustainability and circularity considerations are integrated into decision-making.
Prepare and validate sustainability and circularity roadmaps with the local and global teams.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create or update processes and systems as needed.
Additional Duties
Improve EHS workplace performance by promoting an incident-free workplace, identifying and mitigating EHS risk and implementing safety and environmental management systems in accordance with regulations, corporate compliance policies and standards.
Understand the primary hazards associated with facility construction and maintenance work and regulatory requirements.
Perform duties related to the hazard identification and control process, safe work planning, inspection and assessment, incident investigation, hazardous materials/waste management, emergency preparedness, fire/life safety, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, training, safe work procedure development, and regulatory compliance recordkeeping and documentation.
Conduct inspections and audits throughout the entire manufacturing facility to identify existing or potential hazards and determine corrective or preventative measures.
Maintain knowledge of federal, state and local OSHA regulations, safety codes and environmental quality regulations.
Perform safety and occupational health management, surveillance, inspections, and safety enforcement of vendors and contractors.
Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, ensures all company employees and contractors are adhering to stipulated company and project safety policies and business practices to achieve general results.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in environmental science, environmental management, health and safety, or related field is preferred.
Five or more years of progressive experience including at least two years working with ESG programs, including familiarity with local, state, federal and European regulations.
Experience with building construction and maintenance safety is beneficial.
Two to five years' experience in project management including data analysis.
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in an international matrix organization is beneficial.
Strong communication skills
Strong competence with the various tools, procedures used to accomplish the job.
Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety and environmental regulations is essential.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently $92,625-$154,375. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
