Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe employee will be trained in culturing sensitive aquatic vertebrates and invertebrates which are used in whole effluent toxicity tests. The technicians are also required to do all necessary glassware cleaning and prep work.

We are looking for a reliable candidate who is on time, conscientious, and able to work well independently and as part of a team. This is a fast-paced laboratory which will require candidates to learn quickly. The ability to stand for prolonged periods as well as being able to lift up to 50lbs, on occasion, is expected. NELAC, or similar, experience is preferred but not required as well as familiarity with DEP, EPA or NPDES methods. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in the natural sciences. Good vision with or without corrective lenses is a necessity. Smokers need not apply since we work with very sensitive organisms that cannot tolerate traces of nicotine.

The training rate is $17.50 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience. Benefits will include: health insurance, retirement plan, and two weeks paid vacation per year after a probationary period.
