Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct wetland and stream delineations
- Prepare necessary documents required for wetland permitting
- Conduct all studies and prepare all reports related to the Clean Water Act
- Independently conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
- Manage all aspects of natural resources projects
- Coordinate with local, state, and federal resources agencies with regard to wetlands, natural resources, NEPA EIS and related studies and/or permitting
- Serves as project manager on complex regulatory and ecosystem restoration projects
Minimum Qualifications
- ·Bachelor's degree in oceanography/coastal sciences, environmental science, fisheries, wildlife management, biology, or related curriculum
- Minimum of 8-10 years of environmental consulting experience
- Demonstrated experience with state and federal environmental regulatory processes
- Proficient at completing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
- Working knowledge of US Army Corps of Engineers requirements for wetland delineations and Section 404/10 permit application submittals
- Working knowledge of wetland and upland plant identification within the Gulf south
- Be able to demonstrate strong technical writing capabilities
- Proficient in basic Microsoft Office Products, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Great verbal and written communication, analytical, business, customer service, and decision-making skills
- Highly-organized and self-motivated
- Ability to work in harsh and physically challenging environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Preparation of NEPA documents including Environmental Assessments (EA) and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS)
- Proficiency with ArcGIS Mapping software
