The ideal candidate will produce detailed deliverables for our clients, communicating observations and recommendations to enable informed decision-making regarding their business partners.

This position requires regular travel to job sites throughout the country with occasional travel outside of the US. This is a work from home position when not traveling, and the ideal candidate is expected to demonstrate excellent time management and self-motivational skills to produce timely deliverables with little oversight.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough assessments of maritime facility EHS programs to identify gaps, deficiencies, and areas for improvement.

2. Evaluate compliance with ISO 19011 and ISO 14001 standards, providing expert guidance on implementation and enhancement.

3. Collaborate closely with facility management and EHS personnel to develop actionable recommendations and corrective actions to address identified gaps.

4. Produce detailed deliverables, including assessment reports, findings summaries, and actionable recommendations, tailored to the needs of Sesco clients.

5. Communicate assessment findings and recommendations to Sesco clients in a clear, concise, and timely manner, facilitating their understanding of potential risks associated with maritime facility partners.

6. Provide ongoing support and guidance to Sesco clients in assessing and mitigating risks related to environmental health and safety in maritime operations.

7. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in environmental health and safety, incorporating relevant insights into assessments and recommendations.

8. Foster positive relationships with maritime facility operators, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the assessment process.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field preferred.

2. Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or similar professional certification preferred, but not required.

3. Strong knowledge of OSHA 5400 (Occupational Safety & Health for the Maritime Industry).

4. Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental health and safety consulting, with a focus on maritime facilities.

5. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify gaps, assess risks, and develop effective mitigation strategies.

6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.

7. Proven track record of delivering high-quality assessments and recommendations within established timelines.

8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic consulting environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

We offer competitive compensation, benefits, and opportunities for professional development and advancement. If you are passionate about environmental health and safety and excel in producing detailed deliverables to support informed decision-making, we encourage you to apply.
