We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sr Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This is a full-time, permanent position where you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees. You will be responsible for developing and implementing EHS programs and policies that comply with all current local, state, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, food processing safety, and EHS management systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and monitor company-wide EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and food processing safety standards.
2. Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure safety measures are in place.
3. Develop and deliver training programs for employees on various safety topics, including emergency response procedures, hazardous material handling, and use of safety equipment.
4. Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
5. Develop and maintain documentation related to EHS initiatives, including incident reports, training records, and compliance documents.
6. Collaborate with management and employees to create a culture of safety and promote awareness of EHS policies and procedures.
7. Stay current with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements related to EHS and advise management on necessary actions.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, or related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in an EHS role in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
3. In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and food processing safety standards.
4. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) credentials are preferred.
5. Proven experience conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
6. Strong leadership and team management skills.
7. Excellent communication and training skills.
8. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management software.
10. Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization.
11. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
12. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
