GET TO KNOW YOUR AREA:

  • The Pricing Lead: NAM Strategy Lead plays a vital role in analyzing pricing strategies and optimizing profitability for the North America Region. They are responsible for evaluating market conditions, competitor pricing, and internal costs to develop pricing models and recommendations. The Pricing Lead collaborates with various departments, including sales, marketing, and finance, to ensure pricing decisions align with business objectives and maximize value. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of market dynamics are essential for success in this role.


YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:

Pricing Analysis and Strategy:

  • Analyze discounts and rebate programs for key NA customers and channels to identify opportunities for price adjustments and optimize profitability.
  • Leverage data driven insights and deep understanding of product positioning and value proposition to recommend pricing strategies to maximize long term value
  • Evaluate pricing models, discount structures, and promotions to drive profitable growth and customer lifetime value.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver annual pricing targets and related business goals- sales, revenue, margin etc.


Pricing Model Development:

  • Develop and maintain pricing models and tools to support pricing decisions.
  • Utilize data analysis and financial modeling to estimate price elasticity and profit impacts to help determine optimal pricing levels.
  • Monitor and analyze pricing performance metrics, such as gross margin, discounting, price variance, sales growth, and sales mix, to measure the effectiveness of pricing strategies, and inform recommendations for future pricing.


Market intelligence:

  • Incorporate emerging industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes in pricing decisions.
  • Aggregate intelligence from commercial and marketing teams on important market and competitor moves and dynamics.


Reporting and Presentation:

  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive pricing analysis reports, including findings, insights, and recommendations, to management and key stakeholders.
  • Present complex pricing analysis and strategies in a clear and concise manner, facilitating fast & informed decision-making processes.


Pricing Implementation and Monitoring:

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to implement pricing strategies and communicate pricing changes to stakeholders.
  • Monitor pricing compliance and conduct regular audits to ensure pricing accuracy across different sales channels.
  • Track and evaluate the impact of pricing actions on sales performance, market share, and profitability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of pricing processes and assist in implementation of improvements.


ARE YOU READY FOR THE ROLE?

Main requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Pricing Lead or in a similar analytical role.
  • Rebate management experience, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and manipulate complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling techniques, including pricing elasticity.
  • Solid understanding of pricing methodologies, market dynamics, and competitive intelligence. Experience with customer discount programs a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets accurately.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis functions and pivot tables.
  • Familiarity with CRM, pricing software and tools is a plus, as is familiarity with D365 environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
