Title: Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Technician (Part Time)
Hours: 8 hours per week.Part of the hours MUST be worked on Thursday. Can work all 8 hours on Thursday, or split 4 hours on Thursday and 4 hours another day of the week.
Location: Philadelphia. PA 19112
Duration: 6 month contract, potential to extend
Pay Rate: $20/hr on W2
Summary
We are recruiting for an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Associate to provide comprehensive EHS support to the manufacturing facility. This includes assisting the US EHS Manager with the development, implementation, and enforcement of all EHS programs. The EHS Associate will collaborate with all levels of the organization to drive EHS performance and to ensure regulatory compliance. Need someone to perform waste consolidation and maintenance of the waste room in preparation of the vendor.
Responsibilities
Assist with the maintenance of the US EHS intranet site.
Perform occupational hygiene sampling and noise assessments.
Assist with implementation of hazard communication program
Assist with contractor safety training and management of contractor provided EHS documentation.
Assist with implementation of environmental programs including waste management and SPCC. Waste consolidation and maintenance of the waste room
Perform monthly inspections on emergency response equipment include fire extinguishers and safety showers.
Qualifications
Current DOT/IATA training (provide evidence of certification)
Current RCRA waste management training (provide evidence of certification)
Knowledge and experience OSHA, EPA, PA DEP, DOT/IATA regulations
Ability to provide onsite support on the same day of the week. This role is 100% site-based.
Capable of understanding complex regulatory requirements and applying practical working solutions to meet these requirements.
Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint

Entry Level/1-2 years of experience
Knowledge and experience in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Experience using Microsoft SharePoint
First Aid/CPR/AED training and certification
