Description:
Provide Microbiology support to enable product release on time.
Perform microbiology QC analyses in accordance to USP methods.
-Total Aerobic and Anaerobic Plate Count
-Total Yeast and mold count
-Pathogen screening
-Antimicrobial effectiveness testing
-Suitability testing
-Gram staining
Perform lab maintenance
-media preparation
-growth promotional test
-stock culture maintenance
-basic housekeeping for micro lab
Perform procedure validation
Apply Good Laboratory Practice and data recording on all lab QC test related activities.
Provide microbiology Quality Control support to enable product release on time. These analyses include but are not limited to USP methodologies, , , and for examples. Perform daily laboratory maintenance including supplies to ensure microbiology laboratory is always ready to support the business. Practice good laboratory practice and good documentation practice where as appropriate.
Essential Functions:
Perform microbiology QC analyses in accordance to USP methods or standard operating procedures. These analyses include but are not limited to
Perform basic microbiology laboratory maintenance duties which include but are not limited to
Perform equipment preventive maintenance activities
Apply Good Laboratory Practice and data recording on all laboratory QC test related activities
Comply with company policies and procedures including safety and attendance requirements
Develop laboratory procedures as needed
Perform other tasks as assigned by manager
Can work independently with minimal supervision
Develop laboratory personnel if necessary

Familiar with basic micro testing - making media, plating, culture samples. PLUS: GMP experience
Requirements
Minimum Education, Abilities and Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Biology or Microbiology OR equivalent experience
At least 0-5 years work experience in microbiology QC laboratory, ideal candidate will have experience in pharma or food industry
Familiar with USP methods and criteria a plus.
Prefer prior cGMP, GLP, GDP experience
Demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Must be a team player
