The Environmental Studies program integrates the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities to provide interdisciplinary environmental training to its students. Responsibilities of this position include developing teaching materials and teaching introductory and advanced undergraduate courses on Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Additional responsibilities include advising undergraduate majors and minors as well as program-level service activities.

Requirements include holding a Ph.D. in Geographic Information Systems, Environmental Studies, Environmental Sciences, Geography, Geospatial Sciences, Geoinformatics, or a related field by the time of the appointment; native or near-native proficiency in English; experience with teaching the application of GIS to investigate and address environmental problems and processes; and demonstrated commitment to working with a diverse student population.
