The Department of Biological and Health Sciences at Texas A&M University–Kingsville invites applications for two tenure-track appointments (nine-month basis) at the Assistant Professor level, beginning Fall 2024 in the Department of Biological and Health Sciences. There are two separate hires:

The successful candidates will be expected to teach courses across the undergraduate/graduate curriculum and maintain an active research program, ideally be able to involve students in his/her scholarly work and serve in developing/revising organismal biology courses. The Department supports a wide variety of research and teaching scholars and has a strong interest in establishing a conservation biology program. The candidate will be expected to 1) teach core lower-level courses, 2) upper-level organismal courses, and 3) establish a research program that involves undergraduate and graduate students. Experience with writing grant proposals, obtaining external funding, and recruiting students will be considered additional assets. The successful applicant is expected to guide MS theses projects as well as graduate and undergraduate research. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
