Job Description
AECOM is seeking a self-motivated experienced Hydrogeologist or Geologist for our Orange and Long Beach offices. In this important position, the successful candidate will support Project Managers in the planning, oversight of fieldwork, and evaluation of hydrogeologic and reporting phases for a wide range of multidisciplinary environmental projects in Southern California. Projects include large Federal clients, Refineries, and numerous commercial clients.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Manage field-based tasks of environmental investigation and remediation programs.
Oversee and lead well installation and sampling tasks, and able to communicate with PMs.
Data management, evaluation and report writing with experience drafting environmental investigation and closure reports.
Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
Qualified candidates must be comfortable with travel to project locations including driving and overnight stays.
Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, willingness to mentor junior staff, and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative.
