Scientist/Senior Scientist, Computational Biology (Mass Spec/Proteomics)

Our client, an oncology-based therapeutics company in Boston, MA, is looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist to join their team. The right candidate has a strong ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams, and has the initiative to take the lead on developing computational methods. Responsibilities include:
  • Building informatics pipelines for processing of Mass spec and Proteomic data
  • Analyzing data from high-throughput libraries/ proteomic interactions screens
  • Interpreting results and presenting findings to multi-disciplinary teams
  • Collaborating with wet-lab scientists on a daily basis to develop platforms aiding in experimental design
  • Continuing to learn innovative and novel data tools to apply to internal pipeline development


Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in a quantitative scientific discipline (Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related)
  • Experience with Mass-Spectrometry-based proteomics datasets
  • Strong coding experience in Python, Java, and R
  • Ability to learn new processes quickly and apply them to internal models
  • Strong communication skills both with internal teams and external collaborators
