Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Environmental Project Manager for the Conshohocken, PA or Pittsburgh, PA offices.
This position is expected to begin September/October 2023.
Job Overview:
This full-time position is within our Environmental group will assist a team to help manage site investigation/remediation projects with oversight from senior managers and technical experts. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate investigation/remediation project experience and require a strong focus on health and safety, be detailed orientated, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, and will be capable of working collaboratively in a high-performance team.
This position requires both office and field work; the successful candidate should expect to be out in the field up to 20% of the time mentoring junior staff. Remote work is an option if applicable to project responsibilities. Field work may be performed at project sites with environmental media (e.g., soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, etc.) that has been impacted with hazardous substances and/or hazardous wastes.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Managing scope, schedule, and budget for mid to large-sized investigation/remediation projects
Building strong client relationships
Client and regulatory correspondence
Technical report writing and review
Health and safety stewardship, including local field visits
Analyzes and applies solutions to atypical and/or semi-complex and challenging issues within area of expertise
Preparing cost estimates and proposals
Working effectively with project teams, clients, and all other stakeholders
Coordinating work schedules with AECOM staff and subcontractors
Responsible for quality control of tasks
Mentor project Jr. staff
Will require some regional travel for field visits
