About the Role
This is an opportunity for a top candidate to dive into one of the more dynamic areas of the U.S. P&C Re business, with over 1,500 potential customers and a history of 10,000+ business submissions over the previous 5 years. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to network with multiple areas of Swiss Re including Management Teams, Client Underwriters, Products Experts, Actuaries, Claims Management and our team of Solutions and data analytics specialists. External networking opportunities also exist.

About the Team
The team contains 30 diverse colleagues spread across multiple SR offices. The majority of the team sits in the Schaumburg, IL office.
The team is client and marketing facing. Our main activities are the marketing, underwriting and pricing of treaty reinsurance for small and medium sized property and casualty insurers. Business is produced through both reinsurance intermediaries and directly from insurance companies. In addition to interactions with both reinsurance intermediaries and external clients, the team also works with multiple internal teams.

About You
- Strong preference for general business, Insurance/Risk Management, Data management academic backgrounds. Liberal Arts candidates with an interest in (re)insurance are welcome.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter and proactive
- Ability to work within a team
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects.
- In Junior year of an undergrad degree program.
- Solid academic performance (GPA of 3.0 and above).
