Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a Principal Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) Consultant to be part of our growing ESG practice. The successful candidate will work with Stantec's ESG team to further develop our service offerings in the United States.

• BS in engineering, environmental science, energy, climate science, sustainability, or related degree; MS/PhD a plus
• 10 years of professional experience in ESG, sustainability, climate change, and/or management consulting

Salary Range(s):
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
Benefits Summary: Full-time and part-time employees have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.

Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a Principal Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) Consultant to be part of our growing ESG practice. The successful candidate will work with Stantec's ESG team to further develop our service offerings in the United States.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Subject Matter Expert in CSR/ESG frameworks, strategies, rating systems
- Lead technical delivery of ESG advisory projects globally
- Provide technical expertise on ESG issues, policies, guidelines, and requirements
- Be knowledgeable in ESG trends and best practices
- Identify, maintain, and grow client relationships
- Work with Stantec's ESG leadership to assess and track emerging client needs and develop technically sound solutions
- Collaborate across regions, sectors, and technical practice communities
- Lead and coordinate business development and marketing efforts
- Write proposals in collaboration with technical, business development, and marketing experts
- Participate in key events, meetings, and technical conferences for branding of Stantec's ESG services
- Maintain local and state memberships at professional ESG organizations
- Periodically travel for projects, business development, and administrative matters
- Strict adherence to health and safety procedures
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Strong experience with sustainability frameworks including TCFD, SASB, CDP, DJSI, and GRI
- Strong MS Office computer skills; advanced understanding of PowerPoint, Excel, and Access desired
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with project teams, employees, department management, contractors, and consultants in a professional setting
- Excellent organization, communication, and problem solving skills
- Strong passion for high quality of work
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to analyze data and prepare written reports
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced consulting environment and handle multiple assignments simultaneously, adhering to project budgets and schedules
- Must have a good driving record and valid driver's license
- Prior to employment with Stantec the candidate must successfully pass a physical and drug/alcohol screening
Education and Experience
