Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in environmental science/engineering, chemistry, geology, biology or related field and 0 - 3 years of applicable experience. 40 hour OSHA HAZWOPER. Good oral and written communications skills and ability to work in teams at different levels within the organization. Ability to read and interpret various technical documents such as maps, construction plans, specifications, equipment's instruction manuals, standard operating procedures, analytical methods, and or state and federal regulatory guidelines. Detail oriented and willingness to work within a team. Intermediate in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Must be self-motivated with good attendance record and be able to work independently. Able to analyze, problem-solve, and recommend solutions. Limited practical experience executing environmental compliance (air, water, waste), geosciences (remediation, environmental site assessments, environmental due diligence) and natural resources (NEPA, wetland and waters of the US delineations) projects or project tasks, and/or willingness to learn these skills. Limited practical experience operating geographic data collection and other scientific data collection equipment and/or willingness to learn theses skills. Limited practical experience in field sample collection (air, soil, groundwater, surface water) protocols and procedures and/or willingness to learn theses skills. Ability to operate standard field equipment and tools in a manner to support client needs.
Possess a valid driver's license within the applicable jurisdiction and meet firm's auto insurability requirements. Ensure safe usage and maintenance of company vehicle and field equipment. Able to drive company vehicle, manage and complete all assigned jobs, efficiently and on time. Able to maneuver over rough and uneven terrain.

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, stop, and talk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, focus vision and depth vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Regular use of non-complex machines and equipment and hand tools such as sledgehammers, shovels and picks. Work assignments are frequently performed outside in all weather conditions.
Potential exposure to movement of heavy equipment on construction or roadway sites; potential exposure to hazardous dangerous chemicals and solvents, noise, dust, fumes, grease and oils, radiant and electrical energy, and vibration; all of which would require employee to follow proper safety procedures and utilize appropriate protective equipment. Position may require work on ladders and scaffolding.
This position may require protracted or irregular hours. Flexibility to work irregular hours is necessary due to client needs.

- Apply the following rules and regulations in the field and in/through reports plans and permits: Storm water TXR050000, TXR15000, TXG11000 and Spill Prevention Control and Counter Measures (SPCC) 40 CFR 112.
- Prepare and maintain reports that are necessary to carry out functions of the storm water projects both regulatory and internal reporting.
- Participate in department cross training program to develop skills in all environmental service areas.
- Understand, adhere and participate in the Raba Kistner Health and Safety and Behavior Based Safety Programs and set a good safety example.
- Be focused on client/customer retention and development/growth.
- Serve as a backup inspector.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
